Does anyone know how can one delete the Getting Started file? Cause I have 3 copies of that file and I dont need them but when I swipe it to delete (like with common books) nothing happens.

All my bookmarks and highlights suddenly disappeared from a document after I didnt open it for couple weeks.

ENG I purchased the app in order to read a PDF ebook with Adobe DRM. In the current version scrolling and resizing pages are VERY MUCH slower than iBooks and then the app is very uncomfortable to use. It is necessary to improve scrolling fluidity to make it at least comparable with that of iBooks. Virtually I am forced to take a picture of each page of the book and then read the photos with the app Photos. The developers are very concerned to protect copyrights, but they not care about the usability of the product by the people who paid for the product. Molto più lenti rispetto a iBooks e quindi lapp è scomodissima da usare. È necessario migliorare la fluidità di scorrimento per renderla almeno paragonabile con quella di iBooks. Praticamente sono costretto a fare una foto di ogni pagina del libro e poi leggere le foto con lapp. Gli sviluppatori si sono molto preoccupati di proteggere i diritti dautore, ma non si sono preoccupati della fruibilità del prodotto da parte di chi prodotto la pagato.

This app is completely non-functioning. I basically just downloaded an icon into my apps that does nothing.

I have downloaded this app several times to read an e-book. Every time I try to open the app nothing happens. It is useless.

I downloaded this app to read a book from Open Library. Open Library says I have it checked out but it doesnt show up on this app! If it is there it is way too hard to find. Sure hope when its time to return the book the app does it since I cant find the book!

Downloaded this app because its required for the OpenLibrary book loans and it does not work. The books dont show up, the app does not sync, and if you are lucky enough to finally get a book to show up it takes two minutes just to turn the page.

I cant believe Adobe would allow this to go out.

I just purchased a book from Scholar Flatworld Knowledge. The site says that in order to download the book onto my device I must download this app (Adobe DIgital Editions). I just downloaded this app and it does not allow me to open my book

This is a great app to read books from the library and other protected sources. All of the whiner complaints are from people who probably didnt download the e-book to their device and are clueless about using new technology.

Unfortunately, I am forced to repeatedly try to use this app since my graduate programs library is linked to certain journals and book publishers that use this platform. It is the worst book reader even when it does work. Also, the mobile app no longer seems to work either (bluefire reader). I do not understand how Adobe has fooled these companies into buying this product. Whoever is in charge of making the decision to use it must not have any actual experience with this app!! Would never recommend this. Horrible is too kind. Adobe, if you are listening, please do something! Program does not recognize the books, they wont open, cannot highlight, text to speech does not work for those who need it.

Works well with books checked out from library via Overdrive.

I am not impressed with this app. I downloaded this app to use with Open Library, and it is not that great. There is no return book option if you finished the book before the checkout time expired, there is no option to change the font & the font size selection is limited (could never get font to enlarge enough). Overall it is adequate, but it would not be my first choice for an ebook reader. There are many apps available that are much better.

So many glitches. Required platform for gallies, works badly. Cannot remove a book after reading which uses up storage. It has a trash icon, but it doesnt work.

what a piece of crap! Ruining Adobe brand! Doesnt work properly, sooo buggy. I cant even highlight lines all the time. I am very frustrated. Never buying another eBook protected by Adobes DRM system ADEPT I had to buy an eBook from InformIT because I like PDF format, and it ended up being Adobe DRM protected. I want to read the book and make my highlights, but this piece of crap app doesnt work properly. FIX IT or abandon your DRM joke

Please fix this app. May be you can consult how IBook does it so well. For publishers, you should be ashamed of yourself for making you customers use apps like this one.

It seems anything to do with borrowing library books is fraught with problems. Overdrive, for example is a disaster. This program is equally disastrous. Shame on you Adobe!

Borrow an e-book from the library and the Digital Rights Management means you have to use this program to read the book. Good news: The software works. Bad news: Using it is so frustrating that I will not be borrowing library books anymore. A few: 1. Put down your book and shut the ipad off. When you fire it up again, it doesn’t remember which book you were reading. Oh, well, tap the book. And there it is: at the beginning. It does not remember where you were. It does not remember your font size setting. (Sometimes it does. I don’t know why.) 2. Flip pages — and wait. And wait. And wait. Then, it gets to the page you flipped to and several pages past. So you have to flip and wait, flip and wait. This is blazingly stupid.

Adobe’s got the most annoying, buggy, overpriced, and least flexible system going. Alternatives to the Adobe system are out there, unfortunately, this lousy app is what you need to read certain library books. I’ve been compelled to be a “customer” of Adobe products, and wish I could get a reprieve.

Pros: It reads books. Cons: None of the page links work. Featureless.
